Black History Month: Mo Farah

Year 3 have been learning about the life and successes of British Olympic hero Mo Farah. They have been writing about his childhood, when he moved with his family to Britain to escape violence and how he became a successful athlete and a role model for young people all over the world.

Year 3 have been looking at the lives of some significant black British people as part of their Black History Month learning.

This week we will be writing biographies on Mo Farah – double Olympic gold champion!  We’ve learnt about his humble beginnings, the discovery of his talent by his former P.E. teacher and his rise to fame.
