Wonderful winter art!

Sam1 Sam 2Wasn’t Winter art day fun!  Look at Sam’s fantastic paintings of winter landscapes in London, inspired by Kandinsky.  Well done Sam. I think we have discovered a very talented artist in our class Caterpillars! Thank you to Ms Shrubsall and Ms Xanthis for their help.

What did you learn on art day?

Scale skills and super sentences!

Hi Year 3,

Next week we are learning to read scales in Maths.  Visit this website to develop your scale skills!

You did a great job writing simple, compound and complex sentences this week. Have a look back at the website that helped us and practice writing some more.  Bring in your best to show your teacher.

Learn these lyrics for Wednesday!

As well as your class song, we are all going to sing ‘White Christmas’ together.

Practise at home with these lyrics:

White Christmas

The sun is shining, the grass is green,

The orange and palm trees sway.

There’s never been such a day

In London, Whitechapel, UK

But it’s December the twenty fourth,

And I am longing to be up north

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas

Just like the ones I used to know,

Where the tree tops glisten and children listen

To hear sleigh bells in the snow.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,

With ev’ry Christmas card I write.

May your days be merry and bright

And may all your Christmases be white.

Watch a version of the song being sung here…
