The children have had a fab day doing archery and trapeze and that’s not where the fun stopped! During dinner, Tania was surprised with a birthday cake and everyone singing ‘happy birthday’ to her and then we took part in a traditional campfire with singing, dancing and toasting of marshmallows.
No time to be wasted- our first activities got started almost straight after we arrived. First up was archery and trapeze and the children did absolutely brilliantly and demonstrated true resilience, bravery and team work. Well done Thomas Buxton for encouraging and supporting each other!
“I wanted to give it a go and I reached the top however I didn’t think I could jump. All the support gave me more confidence and I managed it! It always seems impossible until it’s done.” Ishaq
“I didn’t think I could make it to the top but I finally did. When I looked down I saw faces staring back up at me so I just went for it- I missed the trapeze bar! I knew deep down inside of me that I had tried my best.” Shana
After a long but entertaining journey the Year 6 pupils have arrived at Little Canada, Isle of Wight!
The children particularly enjoyed travelling on a ferry and for many of them, this was their first time on such a large boat. During the journey, the pupils passed the time by playing games with each other and taking in the awesome views.
