The ‘Great Fire’ of Thomas Buxton!

In year 2 we have been learning all about ‘The Great Fire of London’. To give us some inspiration to write our diary entries we decided to have a Great Fire of Thomas Buxton!

We made our very own Tudor houses, decorated with half timbered walls and even a working door! We spoke about how the Great Fire started and why it spread so quickly and then recreated the fire with our houses. Take a look at the pictures to see our fire!

We’ve ¬†found out some fascinating facts during our first few weeks learning about the fire. Did you know that the fire started in Thomas Farriner’s bakery on Pudding Lane?

Come down to year 2 if you want to find out more information! We would love to tell you all of the interesting things that we’ve learnt!
